Catholics and Protestants read Bible Differently (Statues of Mary, example) Why don't you accept Gays do too?
There are actually only EIGHT places in the Bible where homosexuality is condemned. And in each place, the situation is ABSURD.
1) Adam, and Eve not Adam and Steve. ABSURDITY–Adam and Eve had the most disfunctional family in history. Cain killed Abel, and their surviving children all committed incest.
2) Sodom and Gomorrah: ABSURDITY– Lot the hero escapes. He gets his own daughters pregnant. He is not punished for this. But his wife is destroyed for TURNING AROUND.
3) Leviticus says Homosexuality is an Abomination unto the Lord. ABSURDITY–It also says Lobster is an Abomination unto the Lord.
4) Exodus says Homosexuality is wrong. ABSURDITY– Exodus 21: 7 Says you may sell your daughter as a maidservant. Exodus 35:2 Says to kill people who work on the Sabbath.
5) Romans 1:29 Says Homosexuals deserve death. ABSURDITY–Romans 1:30 Says Gossips deserve Death.
6) I Corinthians Homosexuality is wrong. ABSURDITY Corinthians also says long hair on a man is wrong, short hair on a woman is wrong, women have to cover their heads, and women must be quiet in church.
7) Timothy says Homosexuality is wrong. ABSURDITY– Timothy also says fine dresses, wearing pearls or gold jewelry, or braiding your hair is wrong.
Jude says Homosexuality is wrong. It is simple regurgitation of Sodom and Gomorrah, discussed above.
We gays look at the FACT that JESUS never once condemned homosexuality. And Neither do the Ten Commandments.
Insults = Frustration
Personal Attacks = No real argument

<< Leviticus 11:10 >>
KJV And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing which is in the waters, they shall be an abomination unto you:
Live
You simply ignore what I say, and do not address it, and expect me to read what you say. Sorry, doesn’t work that way.
Deut. 22:5 - cross-dressing is also considered an abomination before God
Yeah, and Deut. 22:10 says God gets upset if a Donkey is hitched to an ox. Read it.
John S.
If a talk to a doctor, and he says he bleeds people to get out the bad humors, I walk away. If a book of the Bible says absurd things, I don’t follow that book. Pretty simple.

You just made a defense of picking and choosing parts of the Bible. My view is either a book is 100% right, or it is 100% wrong.
That is actually one of the more comprehensive list i have seen, nice work.
I have to say i have agreed with this for the past 8 years when i actually trues to study the Bible for myself rather than just read peoples opinions ans see what stuck.

Show me where in the Bible that it says "Lobster is an abomination unto the lord".
1. It just shows that they were man and woman. Nothing to argue about.
2. It never ceases to amaze me how many Atheists know nothing of this story. These two cities weren’t destroyed because there were some gay people there (I don’t suppose you support the fact that these men wanted to rape Lot’s visitors). The cities were destroyed because they completely abandoned God and common sense. It made perfect sense to them to be able to rape newcomers and for someone to offer up their daughters for sex. The Bible didn’t take the time to list off every single sin.
3. Already made my point.
4. Maidservants and the Sabbath have nothing to do with homosexuality.
edit: It doesn’t say they are an abomination to God. Try again. It says, in that version, that they should be to us. Food laws were meant, among other things, as a health guideline. Or do you disagree that we shouldn’t eat dead carcasses we find on the road or eat diseased animals? They weren’t a sin, they were unclean.
5. You ommitted everything around that verse, including the message of that verse. It’s quite simple. The verse is saying that arrogant, disobedient, evil, god-hating, slanderous, selfish people are useless.
I’m done. It’s obvious that you haven’t read the Bible, just took some verses off of a site or from another Atheist. I can tell by your interpretation of Romans and Timothy. Paul obviously wasn’t against people dressing nice, because Jesus himself dressed quite nicely. However, Paul simply points out something you have been told since you were a child. What’s on the outside doesn’t matter, it’s what’s inside that matter.
This is why many Christians don’t get along with the Atheists on R&S. Because many Atheists just pull out pieces of the Bible without reading the whole thing, lie about what the Bible says, or slant verses in their favor. It’s just like when Christians misinterpret Dawkin’s writings.
P.S. You do personal attacks all the time on here. Read what you had to say about "personal attacks".

Jude 1:7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

Jesus condemned sexual immorality. That included homosexuality. If you don’t like the bible, don’t read it. If you don’t like church don’t go. But homosexuality is still a sin within Christianity.

I can have my opinion about homosexuality being a sin. But so is gluttony, pride, wrath, etc. It is no worse than any other.
I have nothing against gays. God loves them and so do I. I would have no problem being friends with a gay or lesbian or bi or transsexual.

I have absolutely no problem with gays even if they are Catholic. We are one family. We should be excepting everyone! I do not like when people are hating on them. We are not supposed to judge. Even though I am straight I think that people should stop harrasing them and focus on something else. Like global warming. Leave it up to God to deal with it!

i am sorry but that’s the way it goes you weren’t born with it the devil had to some way come into your life when you where a small baby and convinced you of that i also belive that you are having thoughts every day about you know then thats a sin i am not a perfect person i sin every day to why is it you can sin so easy but its so hard to do good

Edit: Jesus did condemn lustful behavior. The Ten Commandments condemns lustful behaviors. Just the Facts.
Jesus said, "I AM THE WAY, The Truth, and The Life."
It works this WAY.
Sorry but your sin remains.
Return to Jesus. Be Obedient.
2 Pet 2:6-10: Peter also proves that the Sodomites were guilty of homosexuality. He says God condemned them for
